Cypher-Cracker is a  glyph-guessing multiplayer game I originally built for a TTRPG game. However, you could probably find a use for it in any TTRPG or party setting!

CONTROLS

To play Cypher-Cracker all you need are two devices, each running an instance of this web-page.

One player (or team-members) uses one instance to act as a "operator" and opens the Detention Block Terminal. The other player (or team-members) uses the other instance to act as an "communicator"  and opens the Passage Terminal.

The objective is for the operator to enter 3 glyphs on their passage terminal which match those shown to the communicator, in the allowed time. Players are only allowed to view their own devices. The process works like this:

1. The operator opens their terminal and receives a 5-digit code. The communicator must first correctly enter this code into their terminal.

2. When the communicator enter their code, they'll receive the first glyph of the sequence. At this point, the operator should press the "Begin Access Procedure" button. This will start the timer and present them with all the glyphs to select.

3. The communicator can now describe each of the three correct glyphs to the operator. They may progress through the sequence by pressing  "Next Glyph". However, once the communicator has moved on from a glyph, they cannot return to any previous glyphs in the sequence!

4. The operator simply has to press the three correct glyphs shown to their partner (the glyphs will change colour when selected). When 3 glyphs have been chosen, pressing "Enter Glyphs" will present the operator with either a success or failure message!
